Malathion is a poisonous chemicals towards insects but not humans... ... this is because of the species diffferences in metabolism of the chemical. In our body, it is metabolised by our liver to a non harmful malathion diacid which is readily excreted by our body whereas for insects it is metabolised into malaoxon which is toxic to them. Hence, there is no need in performing such procedures using Colgate. Anyway, are there any chemicals in Colgate dat are toxic to humans if consumed orally if we do not wash it properly?! Are there any proofs that show that washing grapes with Colgate removes malathion or maybe reacts with it to form another different harmful compound? Do not always follow blindly on what people post up. Sometimes these facts are not true. =S
